Sabrina Jaafar graduated Cum Laude from the Alvin Ailey / Fordham University BFA program in Dance where she was a Jerome Robbins Scholarship recipient. She is currently a Heather Watts Scholarship Recipient earning her MA in Dance Education. Sabrina is the program creator and director of the Joffrey Ballet Academy at Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn NY. She has also taught for schools such as Alvin Ailey, The Friends Seminary School, Hellenic Classical Charter School, and has been on staff at The Joffrey Ballet School since 2009. She was recently mentioned by  Carmen Fariña who is the current New York City Schools Chancellorthe, head of the New York City Department of Education for her outstanding work and has also been chosen to be apart of the NYC Academy of Teachers. Prior to teaching her performance career consisted of dancing for companies such as Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theater, Yaa Samar! Dance Theater, Hope Boykin Dance, The Dance Now Ensemble!, The Broward Ballet, as well as apprenticing with Pascal Rioult Dance Theater. Sabrina has had the honor of performing a wide range of works by world renouned choreographers such as Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Doug Varone, Robert Battle, Ronald K. Brown, Elisa Mont, Pedro Ruiz, Helen Picket and Sidra Bell. Sabrina is a passionate dance educator who thrives on working with adolecents to realize their artistic and physical abilities.
