I believe that my role as a teacher is a continuation of my experiences as a student. Everyone, especially teachers, have to be invested in a lifelong journey of learning and growing. Education doesn't end once you've got a diploma on your wall, it continues, cradle to grave. With this attitude I don't see my teaching as a one way process but a two way transfer between myself and my students: we learn together. I've been in training and education for a number of years but I still get nervous everytime I start a lesson, and I think that's good. I know that my performance as a teacher will directly affect my students future and have impact far beyond my classroom and this aspect of teaching keeps me mindful of my huge responsibility to my students. I have high expectations for the people that sit before me in my classroom and I aim to always meet their expectations of me as we travel this journery together, as teachers and students.
