Fieldwork Investigation C: Text Modification
James, it is super great that your administration is supporting you in implementing the LENS diagnostic assessment. As your school becomes familiar with administering the assessment, I wonder since the LENS diagnostic test is a computer based test, what accommodations or modifications would you do for a student that doesn't know how to use a computer? I think this is a valid question to consider, especially since we work in high-needs schools where students who are usually classified as SIFE also have one or two other classifications. A second question I would pose to you for consideration is, could you create your own diagnostic assessment based on LENS that you could give at any point in the year? I think this would be great for students that come to the school later in the year and for whom no data is available.

You and I teach very different populations. I have almost entirely all LTELLs with over 6 years of schooling in the United States. I read your Capstone with the fascination of a scientist discovering a new species of child. Although I've heard of the LENS I've never administered it.
I applaud your subject matter of SIFE students but I'm a little confused by your project. I think it needs more refining and development and at some point I think you were rambling (it happens to the best of us). If you go back and focus on one aspect of either the SIFE intake process, testing process or classroom resources to develop in your paper and in your school your project will be much stronger.
